About
After earning his medical degree from the University of South Alabama’s School of Medicine, Michael L. Wheat, M.D., FACC, completed an internship/residency in internal medicine at Loyola University Medical Center. He then obtained a fellowship in cardiology at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital. He also served a cardiac MRI/CT fellowship at the Care Group, LLC at the Heart Center of Indiana. Always interested in basic sciences, Dr. Wheat chose the field of cardiology because he felt it was an area of medicine that could really make a difference in a patient’s life. Additionally, he is interested in the technology associated with the specialty.
