Northwest Health – La Porte Honors Exceptional Team Members

Northwest Health – La Porte has announced its Team Members of the Year, honoring individuals who were nominated by their peers for their outstanding performance and exemplary service. Keith Nichols, chief executive officer for Northwest Health - La Porte, said this annual process has become a special tradition and a component of its efforts to celebrate caregivers and reinforce their top priority: delivering quality care and a great experience for each patient.

“Team Members of the Year awards honor some of our best who standout in a special way due to their consistent dedication to compassionate, quality care and teamwork,” said Nichols. “We are fortunate to have each of them in our Northwest Health family.”

The outstanding team members are:

Tina Ribordy – Team Member of the Year
Ribordy is a radiology assistant at Northwest Health – La Porte and has dedicated her career to helping patients for over 35 years. Ribordy was described as “the person who keeps the department running.” Her teammates noted that she handles every interaction with a smile and consistently makes an effort to connect with every patient she comes into contact with. Another co-worker wrote, “She never stops helping. She does it all!”

Jennifer Whitenack – Non-Clinical Manager of the Year
Whitenack manages the daily operations of a several Northwest Medical Group offices. She actively monitors staffing, patient volumes, procedures and works to improve the environment for patients, staff and providers. Whitenack’s peers describe her as an amazing mentor who displays genuine care for her team by celebrating their accomplishments and personal achievements.

Amanda Cleek, BSN, RN, CST, Hospital Clinical Manager of the Year
Cleek is the manager of surgical services at Northwest Health – La Porte and Northwest Health – Starke. Cleek was nominated by several individuals who commented on her commitment to ensure patients receive the best care, and that her team has the tools they need to excel. They shared that she consistently displays a positive attitude and goes above and beyond to support their team.

Josie McLaughlin RN, BSM, CACS , Ambulatory Clinical Manager of the Year
McLaughlin is the administrator for Northwest Health - Lakeshore Surgicare. She was described by her peers as the foundation and pillar of their department. Her team, as well as the providers in the surgicare center, noted McLaughlin’s commitment to quality care and patient experience. They described her as a leader who is known to “cross all t’s and dot all i’s” to ensure the best patient experiences and success of their department.
