Northwest Health General Surgeon Now Accepting Patients at Knox Office

Northwest Health Medical Group general surgeon, Jaron Pettis, MD, is now accepting appointments at his Knox office, providing patients who live in the area with the opportunity to receive quality surgical care close to home.

Dr. Pettis, who specializes in general surgery and treats a broad range of health conditions and injuries, is offering appointments on Thursdays at the Northwest Medical Group – General Surgery office at 402 W. Culver Road, in Knox. He also offers appointments throughout the week in La Porte at 1331 State St., Suite 340.

Dr. Pettis treats conditions of the abdomen, digestive system, breast, skin and soft tissue, and endocrine system, as well as injuries from accidents and other critical situations. He also specializes in minimally invasive and robot-assisted surgeries. Dr. Pettis understands that surgery can feel overwhelming, which is why he takes a personalized approach to care – prioritizing open communication and ensuring every patient feels informed, comfortable and supported throughout their recovery.

He completed his medical education at South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina, and his general surgeon residency at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans. Dr. Pettis joined Northwest Health in 2024.
