Northwest Health Adds Cardiologist in Valparaiso

Northwest Health welcomes cardiologist Saad Sikanderkhel, M.D., FACC, FSCAI, to Northwest Medical Group. With more than 20 years of experience in treating patients with heart conditions, Dr. Sikanderkhel brings experience and a commitment to high-quality cardiovascular care to the region. He joined the Northwest Medical Group – Cardiology office at 85 E. U.S. Highway 6, Suite 300, in Valparaiso.

Dr. Sikanderkhel’s experience includes many forms of cardiovascular disease and structural heart conditions, as well as interventional cardiology procedures performed in the cath lab. After completing fellowships at University of Texas Medical Branch, Yale University School of Medicine, University of Tennessee and Allegheny General Hospital, Dr. Sikanderkhel served as a staff interventional cardiologist at Mon General Medical Center in Morgantown, WV, Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa, and Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

Dr. Sikanderkhel pursued his medical education at Khyber Medical University in Peshawar, Pakistan, and completed his residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. He is board-certified in interventional cardiology by the American Board of Interventional Cardiology, cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Cardiovascular Diseases, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
